Is Mat Pilates suitable if I am new?
Yes. Mat Pilates is an open-level class suitable for all fitness levels. You can become familiar with the movements while building strength, control and confidence throughout the class.
How challenging is Mat Pilates?
Mat Pilates is designed to feel strong and energising. The flowing pace lifts your heart rate, while hand weights and small props add more challenge to the movements.
How is Mat Pilates different from Reformer Pilates?
Mat Pilates centres on floor-based movement with hand weights and small props. Reformer Pilates uses resistance and offers different class styles ranging from Beginner to Strong. Both classes run for 45 minutes and are included in weekly memberships and class packs.
What should I book during pregnancy?
During the second and third trimesters, our prenatal-friendly Beginner Reformer class is the more suitable Pilates option at Sabél. Mat Pilates is not suitable during these stages. Let us know before booking so we can help you find the right class.
